πŸ“Œ What is Zero Note?

Zero Note is a simple, fast, and lightweight note-taking web app that runs directly in your browser. It requires no installation, no sign-up, and works offline. Your notes are saved in your browser’s local storage and remain available even after closing the tab.

πŸ›  Key Features:

  • No Installation or Sign-up Required
  • Saves Notes Locally in Your Browser
  • Works Offline
  • Word & Character Counter
  • Supports Text Formatting (Bold, Italics, Underline)
  • Copy-Paste Support for Images, Icons, and Web Clips

πŸ“– How to Use Zero Note

1️⃣ Writing Notes

  • Click inside the editable note area to start typing.
  • Your text is saved automatically when you click the SAVE button.

2️⃣ Formatting Text

You can use these keyboard shortcuts to format your text:

  • Bold: Ctrl + B
  • Italics: Ctrl + I
  • Underline: Ctrl + U

3️⃣ Copy-Pasting Content

  • You can copy-paste text directly into Zero Note.
  • Images, icons, and web clips can also be pasted, but excessive media may reach storage limits.

4️⃣ Saving Your Notes

  • Click the SAVE button to store your notes.
  • Notes are saved locally in your browser’s storage (not on any cloud server).

5️⃣ Retrieving Saved Notes

  • The next time you open Zero Note, your last saved note will automatically load from your browser storage.

6️⃣ Checking Word & Character Count

  • Below the text area, you’ll see:
    • Character Count: Total number of characters typed.
    • Word Count: Total number of words in the note.

πŸ›  Troubleshooting & FAQs

πŸ”Ή Where are my notes stored?

Your notes are saved in localStorage, which is a storage space in your browser. This means your notes are only available on the same device and browser where they were created.

πŸ”Ή What is the storage limit?

Zero Note uses localStorage on the Browser, which is usually approximately 2.5 million characters (around 400,000 words), but storing images or large amounts of content may hit the limit sooner.

πŸ”Ή Can I use Zero Note on multiple devices?

Since Zero Note saves data in localStorage, your notes do not sync across devices. Each browser carries its own Local Storage.
You will need to copy and paste your notes manually if switching devices or browsers.

πŸ”Ή Will I lose my notes if I clear browser data?

Yes. Since notes are saved in localStorage, clearing browser data/cache will delete your saved notes. Consider copying important notes to another location before clearing data.

πŸ”Ή Can I back up my notes?

Yes! To back up your notes:

  1. Copy the text manually.
  2. Paste it into a text file, email, or document for safekeeping.
